Indeed. John Carter (the judge manager) was very quick to look into this case and act.

The players are also banned from being on premises at any WotC ran event. Hopefully all TOs will follow that lead. Most likely we will be sharing images of the accused so they can be identified.

We also got a nice note from someone about the stolen stuff. I have removed the names to protect the innocent :

"I'm X, one of Ys top constructed players. Around here, they call me "Z" I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the help you gave in helping me recover my belongings, which were nabbed by the "bag guy" they caught on Day 1 of the GP.

Sunday night a detective called me and I was able to identify my bag and its contents. While the bag was broken into, and I have not at this time recovered everything, I did get back all 5 of my binders and they were UNTOUCHED. All told, I was very relieved. I appreciate you having done your part to move along the proceedings."

So yay.

Any word on whether photographs of these guys will be circulated, either to just judges and TOs or possibly to the greater M:tG community at large?

Glad to hear this matter is being dealt with firmly and that some of the victims are getting their possessions back.

If the DCI had a photo of the each of them or of the four of them together, we likely would not have a photo release form and would therefore be unable to circulate it.

Assuming they have accounts someone might be able to find some pictures on Facebook.

I tried that route earlier in the week and nothing popped up. Still, there are some legal questions that arise when you start posting images like that, so people have to walk a fine line.
