"Freed From the Real," a podcast from PureMTGO.com that featured Erik Friborg, has memorialized their comrade in the latest cast. Episode 113, entitled "In Remembrance of Erik Friborg," is dedicated to his memory. The community member who was active in educating players in how to use Magic Online and was universally known by his online nickname "Hamtastic" died suddenly recently (read more).

A memorial college fund for Friborg's son has been started.
