The latest Darkmoon Faire featuring the World of Warcraft TCG has concluded in Chicago, IL at Epic Con (read more about Epic Con), and the 2nd place finisher was a former Magic pro-turned-Wizards employee: Peter Beckfield. The Seattle resident finished in 2nd place, losing to eventual winner Dan Clark after leading the tournament field through 8 rounds of Day 1 play.
Beckfield, who is a software developer at Wizards of the Coast, is a longtime member of the Seattle Magic community after moving the West Coast from Wisconsin. In addition to qualifying for the Pro Tour in San Juan last season, Peter has also been featured in coverage of the Magic Cruise.

The recently banned Mike Pozsgay, who is also a competitive WoW player, finished just outside of the Top 8 (listen to our interview with Mike about his banning in the latest episode of TheStarkingtonPodcast).
