Magic Pro Tour Hall of Famer and former head of R&D Randy Buehler was a competitor at the 2010 World Boardgaming Championships. According to declarations he made on Twitter, the event went successfully for him. In 15 tournaments he placed 1st twice, 2nd once, 4th twice, lost in the semifinals three times, and qualified to play in three additional playoffs.

Perhaps most interesting was the fact he caught his Dominion opponent, a 12-year old, stacking the deck and netted the player a disqualification from that event.

The World Boardgaming Championships are put on by the Boardgame Players Association. Buehler, a long time gamer, has been very successful at a host of different competitive games. In addition to being one of the top professional Magic players of all time and a Pro Tour Hall of Famer, he has taken a seat at the World Series of Poker.
