Yesterday we brought you an update from the Wizards Prerelease compiled from employee Tweets on Twitter, but have you ever wondered what a Prerelease from the eyes of a Wizards of the Coast employee would be like? Monty Ashley, a web specialist who works for Wizards of the Coast on the DailyMTG.com website, recently published his take on the Rise of the Eldrazi employee Prerelease at Wizards.

The Wizards Prerelease, generally held prior to the actual Prerelease and open to employees and contractors who are otherwise prohibited from playing Magic tournaments, is the world's first glimpse of the new set, albeit from the ivory tower of the Renton, Washington corporate headquarters of Wizards of the Coast. Ashley's blog, complete with photos from the event, is a rare (and perhaps first) look at the inner workings of such an event.
