Continuing our Hall of Fame coverage, top judge Toby Elliott shared his ballot with the public via his Facebook Wall Saturday. In a status update, he listed the following five players as his picks for 2010:
-Gabriel Nassif
-Bram Snepvangers
-Tsuyoshi Ikeda
-Justin Gary
-Brian Kibler
Nassif's name is no surprise, and Kibler and Ikeda have had a great deal of press attention following them through the season. Bram Snepvangers is a high level judge himself, and may have gotten a boost from Toby's unique perspective on the role judging plays in the game. Justin Gary, the last high profile member of Team YMG NOT in the Hall of Fame, is a name that hasn't been appearing on a lot of ballots but at least for Toby Elliott should be. Gary is a former Pro Tour champ and has represented the United States at the World Championships as captain of Team U.S.A.
Humourously, of the two people listed as "liking" the status update containing the announcement, a full 50% of them were Brian Kibler.
