Wizards of the Coast detailed late Tuesday an exclusive event entitled "Assault on Mirrodin" scheduled for September 4th. The event will take place at PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington as well as at Pro Tour-Amsterdam happening the same weekend. Monty Ashley described the event for Wizards on DailyMTG.com:

"This special event will be taking place at both Pro Tour–Amsterdam and PAX Prime in Seattle as we kick off the preview season for Scars of Mirrodin. Each location will have an 'Assault on Mirrodin' party Saturday night where you can see exclusive preview cards and new art from the upcoming set."

Assault on Mirrodin will mark the second year in a row Wizards has used the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle as an opportunity to highlight an upcoming set. Last year that set was Zendikar and the party debuted cards like Iona, Shield of Emeria and the new fetch lands.
