Super Bowl Ads for Magic Players

It is a ritual defeated in caloric excess only by Thanksgiving, and for which the process by which it is monetized is almost as famous as the spectacle itself. That's right, the Super Bowl. If you weren't watching, the New Orleans Saints won (they were playing the Indianapolis Colts), but the commercials? In the age of the future, they're all available. Today, the editorial staff at TheStarkingtonPost.com brings you our favorites from the weekend.
Nostalgia
This commercial would have been acceptable had it simply starred Betty White. That goldenest of Golden Girls holds a special place in Internet meme's hearts, but the true clincher that makes this a classic is the inclusion of Abe Vigoda as the final kicker. The Godfather actor got a career reboot thanks to occasional appearances on Conan O'Brien's show, and made for a hilarious foil for White. This is our pick for the hit of the season.
Some of you kids these days are too young to remember the classic McDonald's commercials featuring Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Charles Barkley in which the four greats battle each other in a game of HORSE with increasingly ridiculous shots for a Big Mac. When you saw Lebron and Dwight Howard with the famous bag on the court, you knew you were watching history in the remaking. I was pulling for Charles Barkley to put in a cameo, but the Birdster was a fine replacement (and King Charles was a tad busy with his own starring role in Taco Bell ads).
Movie Trailers
There were some doozy movie trailers this year. Here they are in no particular order:
Shutter Island
The Last Airbender
Alice in Wonderland
Robin Hood
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
The Wolfman
And because it's cool, a videogame trailer too.
Dante's Inferno
For all of the ads you missed, you can visit them on Hulu here.
