Julien Parez is the 2010 French National Champion! The Top 8 was a star studded affair featuring some of the world's best pros. Guillaume Matignon, Antoine Ruel, Lucas Florent, and Guillaume Wafo-Tapa all made the cut to single elimination play, but it was Parez who managed to knock Matignon off in the Finals to take the top slot.

The biggest news, however, was the birth of a new blue-white control deck that saw three copies in the Top 8! The deck? Sun Titan control and considering it was played by Guillaume Wafo-Tapa, something of a control deck master, you can count on the deck starting to show up in droves at upcoming Standard events. Here's the winning decklist:

1  Arid Mesa

4  Celestial Colonnade

4  Glacial Fortress

5  Island

5  Plains

1  Scalding Tarn

3  Sejiri Refuge

3  Tectonic Edge

Sea Gate Oracle

Sun Titan

Wall of Omens

3 Day of Judgment

Deprive

3 Elspeth, Knight-Errant

1 Jace Beleren

3 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

4 Mana Leak

1 Martial Coup

2 Mind Spring

2 Oblivion Ring

4 Path to Exile

Sideboard:

2 Baneslayer Angel

2 Condemn

4 Flashfreeze

1 Jace Beleren

4 Kor Firewalker

2 Negate

The versions run by Wafo-Tapa and Gregory Pierron all cut Sea Gate Oracle, but the results are clear: Sun Titan Control is a new major player in Standard. (Read about another potential major player in Standard here.)
