The public events schedule for Pro Tour-Amsterdam has been announced and one event above all others has raised the collective eyebrow of the Magic community. The event in question? Here's how it was described on the official Wizards of the Coast public events schedule:

Scars of Mirrodin Preview Party

Saturday, September 4

9 p.m. - Midnight

No other details of the cryptic event have been announced, but for a sneak peek it's a preview of the set a full month prior to its release in a fashion relatively rare for Wizards of the Coast. Other major public events include:

-PTQs for the first Pro Tour of the 2011 season

-Generic Grand Prix Trials

-MTGO Live Series qualifiers and finals, which will pay $5,000 to the Top 8

-The 2,500 Euro draft challenge

-The WPN Amsterdam championship, open to all players who qualify at participating store
