Evelyn Ng became a poker sensation after outlasting numerous top level female players at the 2003 Ladies Night Out on the World Poker Tour. Towering over most opponents at six feet tall with model good looks, Evelyn quickly found herself a star of sorts on the professional poker circuits. It was there that she met former Magic players-turned-poker-stars David Williams and Eric Froehlich. Before long, they were cajoling her to try this OTHER card game they were sure she would love, and after numerous urgings (and occasional teasing from Evelyn about Magic itself), she relented.

The verdict? Like other games in her past, Evelyn was hooked.

Which is how she found herself watching from the rails of Pro Tour-San Diego. While not qualified for the event herself, Ng came to support both David Williams and Froehlich who received celebrity invites to come back to competitive play. We sat down to chat with her about her perspective on Magic, her background with the game, and what, exactly, she thought of the Pro Tour atmosphere.
