Kenny Oberg is the Grand Prix-Gothenburg champion! The pro bested a legendary field featuring Anton Jonsson, out of retirement after a season of murmurings for his inclusion into the Hall of Fame in 2010, as well as Nicolai Herzog who is already a member. The field was so good at the end of the day Kenny, Marijn Lybaert, and Sam Black weren't even close to the biggest names! Oberg's winning decklist, defeating Jonsson:

10 Forest

6 Mountain

1 Swamp

2 Acidic Slime

1 Awakener Druid

2 Canyon Minotaur

2 Cudgel Troll

1 Garruk's Companion

1 Greater Basilisk

1 Mitotic Slime

1 Prodigal Pyromancer

2 Sacred Wolf

1 Sylvan Ranger

1 Yavimaya Wurm

1 Combust

1 Doom Blade

1 Fireball

1 Fling

1 Plummet

1 Pyroclasm

1 Sorcerer's Strongbox

1 Volcanic Strength

Conley Woods, who narrowly missed the Top 8 of U.S. Nationals, managed to accidentally draw himself out of the Top 8, finishing in 9th. The event was the largest tournament ever held in Scandinavia, a fact made possible by the Pro Tour in Amsterdam that begins this week. Dozens of pros stopped in Sweden to warm up before continuing on to the Netherlands.
