Two Magic players remain at the 2010 World Series of Poker as both French players, Gabriel Nassif and Pierre Canali, managed to survive the sixth day of grueling competition. Both are short stacked, meaning they have fewer chips remaining than the average player in the tournament, but even if they lose know they'll cash for a minimum of $79,806.
Presently Canali is behind Nassif sitting on 655,000 in chips. Gabe has just over a million at 1,125,000, but that's less than half the average of 2,815,000. With only 78 players left, could the two card sharks be headed to the final table with their continued tight play?
All told there are only two more days left before the final table is decided, though tomorrow's competition could be a long one; Nassif and Canali will be forced to play with the rest of the field until only 27 players remain. The following day, the 8th of competition, will see the field whittled to just nine players before the final table is called. Making that cut would instantly turn both players into millionaires.
