Magic Top Game for Q1

ICv2, a hobby industry research and news company, recently announced its estimates for the hobby and games markets for the first quarter of 2010. Leading the pack for the hobby channel? Magic: the Gathering.

As usual, the top performers were Magic, Yugioh, and Pokemon. Magic was the top for hobby channel, third for mass channel collectible games, and second for collectible games over-all. Magic is continuing a hot streak that has made it a big performer for Wizards of the Coast and brought it its best numbers ever for the 2009 fiscal year. Of course, with its most successful year behind it, can Magic continue to grow and expand or has it reached a plateau?
