MTG Top Hobby Game in Q4

ICv2 released their report today on the hobby and gaming industry today. Magic: The Gathering took the top slot as the most popular Hobby Channel Collectible Game for the fourth quarter of 2009. It finished just ahead of Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Magic also did well in the categories of Mass Channel Collectible (3rd behind Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!) and Collectible Games Over-all (2nd behind Pokemon).

The numbers aren't a real surprise, after Magic capped 2009 as its most successful year ever.
