MTGO Hosts Throwback Limited Event

Wizards of the Coast announced Wednesday a special Limited event for Magic: The Gathering Online. The tournament, which will be held August 29th at 11 a.m. Pacific time, will feature the Champions of Kamigawa Sealed format. Players will play with the whole block, creating a deck from a pool that features two boosters of Champions of Kamigawa, Betrayers of Kamigawa, and Saviors of Kamigawa. The cost of entry is 30 event tickets, and prizes include foil Kamigawa sets as well as booster packs.

Wizards gave no specific explanation as to why they're hosting the event, though they made a loose reference to the plane of Kamigawa's place in the Multiverse far from Mirrodin.
