The StarCityGames.com Legacy Open has drawn to a close in Minneapolis, and Ken Adams is its champion! The former StarCityGames.com employee played Bomberman, a legitimate part of the metagame that has not been seen in months. His opponent in the finals, Alex Olson, was playing Aggro Loam and forced the match to three games. Ultimately, however, Ken proved he had what it took. His decklist:

3 Grindstone

3 Lion's Eye Diamond

1 Pyrite Spellbomb

1 Sensei's Divining Top

4 Painter's Servant

1 Auriok Salvagers

1 Goblin Welder

4 Imperial Recruiter

4 Trinket Mage

4 Brainstorm

2 Enlightened Tutor

4 Force of Will

3 Thirst For Knowledge

1 Ancient Den

1 Great Furnace

2 Island

1 Mountain

4 Ancient Tomb

3 Flooded Strand

1 Plateau

4 Scalding Tarn

1 Tundra

3 Volcanic Island

Sideboard:

1 Engineered Explosives

1 Pithing Needle

1 Tormod's Crypt

1 Faerie Macabre

1 Sun Titan

4 Red Elemental Blast

1 Llawan, Cephalid Empress

1 Meloku the Clouded Mirror

1 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

3 Firespout

The event also marked a first as Sarah Brennecke became the first woman to Top 8 a StarCityGames.com Open Series (though Kali Anderson was a previous champion of a StarCityGames.com $5k event before the circuit became an official series and increased its prize payout).
