The United States has a national team, and Josh Utter-Leyton is its champion! The California resident managed to take the top slot after beating Anthony Eason in the finals. His decklist:

4 Misty Rainforest

2 Plains

1 Sejiri Steppe

3 Stirring Wildwood

3 Verdant Catacombs

4 Birds of Paradise

4 Knight of the Reliquary

4 Lotus Cobra

4 Noble Hierarch

4 Sovereigns of Lost Alara

2 Eldrazi Conscription

3 Elspeth, Knight-Errant

2 Explore

4 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

4 Mana Leak

Sideboard:

1 Bojuka Bog

2 Jace's Ingenuity

4 Linvala, Keeper of Silence

2 Obstinate Baloth

The tournament was a bit of a coup for ChannelFireball.com who put three writers into the Top 8. A number of big names made the single elimination cut including poker pro Eric Froehlich, Gerard Fabiano, and Brad Nelson. But the team supporting Utter-Leyton will be Eason, his Finals opponent, John Kolos who won the 3rd/4th playoff, and David Ochoa as their alternate.
