In addition to Argentina and China, Ireland also held its National Championship this past weekend. While there was no official coverage, judge Nick Sephton informed TheStarkingtonPost.com of the happenings via Facebook. Chris Black has repeated as the National Champion, and will be joined on the team by Stephen Pashley and Simon Carmichael. This is the deck Chris used to win:
Token Time
5 Forest
5 Mountain
Sideboard:
Perhaps more interesting was the 3rd place deck played by Simon Carmichael. That list was a Monoblack Control/Vampires build, an archetype which had been dead in Standard for some time.
16 Swamp
Sideboard:
Top 8 decklists can be found on DeckCheck.net.
