Hasbro Shoots Down Rumors of Sale

We reported yesterday that Hasbro was in talks to be purchased by a private equity firm. Less than a day later, Hasbro is denying they are for sale. MarketWatch.com is reporting Hasbro has stated there was no such interest in a move from its board.

The company is having a banner year, fueled in part by its subsidiary Wizards of the Coast. The makers of Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, Wizards is enjoying some of its best success ever as its key TCG property, Magic, performs the best it has in its history.
