Giants Confirmed in M11

Late Tuesday Wizards of the Coast confirmed two Giants would be returning to Magic 2011. In their Arcana feature on DailyMTG, they confirmed the addition of the two cards in a very novel way: "Core Set Survivor." Surreptitiously tracing back the number of cards that had survived from Alpha in each base set, Wizards revealed only two would be making it into M11. Those two? A pair of Giants, but not in the manner you might be thinking. Get a load at this one:

That's right, "giant" as in Giant Growth. The other card confirmed? Giant Spider. They are the only two cards from the original base set to make the cut into Magic 2011.
