Commander Previews at PAX

The Penny Arcade Expo East has given us more sneak peeks into the upcoming summer release for the Commander expansion. At least two cards were spoiled:

Archangel of Strife 5WW

Rare

Creature - Angel

Flying

As Archangel of Strife enters the battlefield, each player chooses war or peace.

Creatures controlled by players who chose war get +3/+0.

Creatures controlled by players who chose peace get +0/+3.

Nin, The Pain Artist UR

Rare

Legendary Creature - Vedalken Wizard

XURT: Nin, the Pain Artist deals X damage to target creature. That creature's controller draws X cards.

Commander is the first release in support of the new format, formerly referred to as "Elder Dragon Highlander." It is slated for a summer release (read more here).

PAX East also saw the announcement of a new Duels of the Planeswalkers release.
