China National Championship Kicks Off

The Chinese National Team burst onto the Pro Tour scene last year as they managed to win the team championship in Rome despite consisting of players who had never made a mark on the professional circuit prior to that event. The members of the team included Zhiyang Zang, Bo Li, and Tong Wu. Our own Bill Stark sat down to interview Zhang and Tong at Pro Tour-San Juan for Wizards of the Coast (read that interview here).

As a nation, China is on the verge of becoming the global leader in...well...everything. With a trail blazed from 2009, the Chinese are a National Championship away from deciding who amongst them will defend the title in 2010.
