Are Aurochs, those chunky super cows, coming back?
Okay, not to Magic. ACTUALLY coming back. You see, the creature type Aurochs aren't just a part of Magic lore. They're real animals that used to roam Europe before becoming extinct in the 17th century. Like their art from Magic cards, Aurochs look something like yakkish cattle, though standing much larger than your typical Holstein. And now, modern researchers want to breed them back into existence.
It's not the first time humans have tried to bring the aurochs back. Nazi scientists attempted to do the same thing in the 20th century, though the resulting breed of pseudo-cattle was actually a new flavor known as "heck cattle." The project to bring the aurochs back could take as much as a century, though a separate group of scientists is actually trying to clone them back into existence.
And if they succeed? Is it possible we'll see a return to Magic of the cowiest "tribe" this side of a Pillarfield Ox? Okay, probably not, but hey it's kind of fun to imagine.

And scope out the Aurochs that have existed in Magic to date:
