A Look at the Duels Expansion

The Penny Arcade Expo East featured some of the first looks at the upcoming Duels of the Planeswalkers expansion (read more about that here). In an interview with The No News, Wizards of the Coast's Paul Levy gave us a list of new features you can expect to see from the upcoming release. They were:

-Unlockable attire for your Xbox avatar

-New planeswalkers (Paul confirms we'll see Chandra back, and Sorin Markov makes a debut)

-New decks

-New levels

-Animation for your Xbox avatar

In addition, Paul confirmed that Nicol Bolas' deck from the original game will now be appearing in a version available for players to play. Kicker and landfall will also be debuting on the game, and Levy tossed in a surprise: paper decks of the Xbox Duels decks will be available, meaning you can purchase and play in the real world the decks you love in the digital world.
